Billie Austin uses narrative symbolism to express elusive spiritual and emotional truths which are difficult to put into words but easily recognized among fellow humans. She has long enjoyed “thinking in stories”, and telling a story in a single image through manipulation of archetypes and color theory. She is stylistically inspired by Pop Surrealism and Alchemical Art of the Middle Ages.
